Jammers Win 6-2

Jammers late game surge was enough to defeat the Onondaga Flames 6-2 and win their 30th game of the season (30-13: 1st in Western Division) as the Flames fall to 18-23. 

Each starter in this game were outstanding. For the Flames Zach Kemp (Wells) went 5.0 Innings, 2 Runs (1 Earned) on 3 hits and striking out 4. The Jammers starter Chris Vallimont (Mercyhurst) also had an impressive stat line as he went 6.0 Innings allowing 1 Run (0 Earned) on 5 hits and striking out 5. 

The Flames got on the board in the top of the 3rd by a scoring 1 run on 2 hits, as Kyle Gallagher (Cornell) had an RBI double. The Jammers would answer back in the bottom of the frame, as they would tie the game, when Skyler Valentine (UTSA) grounded into a fielder’s choice to score John Conti (Canisius). 1-1 after 3. 

The Jammers would take the lead the next inning, as Jimmy Standohar (Mercyhurst) would single and later score on an RBI groundout by John Conti (Canisius). 2-1 Jammers after 4. 

With 1 out in the top of the 7th, the Flames Colin BeVard (Cortland) would triple and score as Kyle Gallagher (Cornell) would single him home to tie the game at 2-2 

The tie game wouldn’t last as the Jammers would score 3 runs on 2 hits in the bottom of the 7th, including a 2-run single by Jimmy Standohar (Mercyhurst). 5-2 after 7. 

The Jammers would add an insurance run in the bottom of the 8th to make it 6-2 Jammers and they would close it out and go on to win 6-2.
