Game 2 Jammers Win 5-2

Game 2 of the PGCBL Championship series goes to Jamestown, as the Jammers defeat the DiamondDawgs with a score of 5-2 to force a 3rd game. 

In the top of the 1st the DiamondDawgs took an early lead when Clay Koniencki (Monmouth) crushed a solo home run over the left field fence. The Jammers would answer back in the bottom of the frame as John Conti (Canisius) led the inning off with a triple and later scored on a groundout. 1-1 after 1. 

In the bottom of 3rd The Jammers took the lead by scoring 3 runs on 3 hits. John Conti (Canisius) got things started by doubled and scored on a Christ Conley (Canisius) single. After a Ben Brookover (UTSA) walked, Skyler Valentine (UTSA) ripped a 2-run triple to make it 4-1 Jammers after 3. 

The Jammers would add another run in the bottom of the 4th as Jimmy Standohar (Mercyhurst) doubled and scored as John Conti (Canisius) once again came up big with an RBI single that scored Standohar. 5-1 Jammers after 4. 

Jammers got a great performance from starter Cory Blessing as he threw 6.1 innings, allowing only 2 runs (2 Earned) on 3 hits and striking out 4. 

The DiamondDawgs tacked on a run in the top of the 7th. Ben Porter (Columbia) doubled to lead the inning off and scored as Joe Engel (Columbia) singled. 5-2 Jammers going to the bottom of the 7th. 

The Jammers would close the game out and secure a 5-2 victory to force a winner take all game 3.
