In October of 2014, Kevin Rhomberg, former RS Entertainment Owner, announced a Prospect League (collegiate wood bat) baseball team would play at Russell E. Diethrick Jr. Park starting in May.
In December of 2014, MKE Sports & Entertainment Owner Mike Zimmerman partnered with Kevin Rhomberg to form Jamestown Baseball, LLC. Shortly thereafter, Jamestown Baseball, LLC and Minor League Baseball (MiLB) struck a deal for continued use of the Jamestown Jammers name, which is owned by MiLB.
